My own personal choices for the year. They reflect not just necessarily what I think is the best or essential cinema, but perhaps resonate with me or inspire, both at the time, and still today. Subject to alter choices if new viewings are worthy enough. Other published Film Honors posts can be found at the menu at the top of the page.

  1. “The screenplay is simply crammed with real-life, those genuine interactions” – Love this! (And everything else you wrote about Almost Famous.) I also think Traffic is brilliant… I just happen to think Gladiator is even greater than both of them – but if we got winners as good as Almost Famous every year in real life, we’d never have any reason to complain, so I’m happy with the outcome here! 🙂
